I have plenty of fluid and have bled them 3 or 4 times.........but when I try to stop, I have to press the pedal all the way down and it stops slowly......when I get into fast, they lock up
any suggestions?
Thanks!

did you switch over your proportioning valve to one that came from a 4 wheel disc 'teg or crx? I don't know if both the rear drum or rear disc crx's came w/ the same valve and mastercylinder but maybe that'll fix your problem. Are you leaking fluid anywhere?

Im not leaking fluid, but I left the master cylinder alone, so I will have to play with that I guess
the donor car was a 91 CRX Si going to a 89 CRX DX FYI

^ Props for searching
It's got to be either a fluid leak at the rear, or a MC problem. Bench bleed the MC!! I bet it's mad air in your system.....

I highly recommend swapping proportioning valves with a rear disc integra or crx. I would try this first before I throw other parts at it.

If the prop valve was working correctly before you did the swap, then its most likely NOT the cause. Hell, im still running on my DX valve and Ive had rear disc for years!
Did u let the system completely drain when u did the swap?

It was actually odd because when I undid the rear brake lines no fluid came out. After the install I used a vacume bleeder and fluid only came out of one side. Now i can't even bleed the front brakes.

Check the bleeder valve itself for dirt/crud that has built up inside of it. That dirt doesnt allow the fluid to come out when u crack it open.

thanks for all your help everyone. I took my car to the mechanic in the end. He blew out the system with compressed air and found that one of the lines had a nick out of the flared end and the piece was causing a blockage. So he replaced the line and all is well. (It was one of my home made lines btw not a honda one)
