I put an electric oil gauge on my F22b and cold it went up as high as 90 and drops to about 35 or 40 after warming up. Is this right? What is the stock pressure at idle and cruising speed?

I have 2 electric sending units for my tee fitting but I want to make sure this is normal before I go through the trouble of switching them.

 

Fixed it.........had to calibrate a little...........

 

where did you get the electronic guage ( dont like the idea of plumbing a line) and how much//

oddly enough Auto Zone. It's a Faze oil pressure gauge. It has worked great. It came with all the needed stuff except for 18 gauge wire and connectors.

The only thing is that the oil psi is measured is not very real time. I also got an AF ratio meter from Faze. It works great too.

 

oh and it was $60 for the gauge, about a $1 for the 1/8th tee fitting (from Home Depot...lol) and $0.80 for a male fitting.....not too bad.

My local Auto Zone only carries like this sumpro? stuff, and they are the ones that use a pressure line... maybe they can order it?

Check ebay, there's quite a few on there. http://www.summitracing.com also has a large selection of gauges, including the Faze ones. I too am looking for an electronic oil pressure gauge
