Will mobil 1 synthetic 15w - 50 be a good oil choice

Default Will mobil 1 synthetic 15w - 50 be a good oil choice

I am wondering if any one uses or has used mobil 1 synthetic 15w - 50 and if there was any problems using that thick of oil

i used it once but i am boosted

i switched to amsoil 1040 i dont like it that thick

fine with me, but then again my oil gets changed every 2 and a half weeks pretty much so it's not in there too long

why so thick... use 5w30, you put that thick *** **** in there and you aint gona do nuthing but kill about 15hp

After how many miles should you look at using a thicker oil?? I've been told after 100km or about 70 miles.

you should never have to use a thicker oil unless its really ****** hot out... like 100+ all day for months

also, that thick oil takes forever to get to the overhead cams and valves, not good

It's ok for turbo motors isn't it? like 20w 50? is that too thick for a turbo?

you dont want thick oil for turbo cause it will slow everything down. deff use good synthetic for turbo apps though. the extra heat in the turbo will break down conventional oil
