Do I need resitors with Hondata and DSM 450s..?

Default Do I need resitors with Hondata and DSM 450s..?

I know this has been covered a few times...But there has never been a straight answer...I will be using the injectors on a b17bottom/b16head with Hondata s200 in a 96 ex coupe..Please give me all the deatils you can about if i do or dont have to use them and what kind of resisitors to get etc...Thanks

yeah u need resistors....honda resistor box or radio shack resistors..do a search or go the the clubsi forum and check out zip's sticky post for the smc in the got boost forum

I have the injectors already..installed and running in my car...I just need to know if i need the resistors and what kind of resistors...Ive been running them without resistors with the hondata for a month now its inconsistent...

Man, if you ran them that long with no resistors, I'd be surprised if the injector drivers in the ECU weren't dead yet. Without the resistors, the drivers get hit with a big blast of current each time the injector fires.

I'd put the resistor box in and start looking for another ECU. A flaky injector driver is the last thing you want at full boost @ 7000 rpm.

Damn...Thanks for the info...How can I tell if the injector drivers are no good.....ALSO!...What resistors do I need?...Someone told me something about resistors from RadioShack...Please anyn info will help...
