Regardless of any "chipped" ECU you may be thinking about, their will be fine tuning needed period. It not worth it to buy a chipped ECU and an AFC. Better off with Hondata.

This is true right now I am running a VAFC with a vision chipped P28, I wish that i would have just gone with the hondata to begin with. Oh well that is the next step!

hey hatch2k what kind of gains did you get? Did you run into anyproblems? Did the tuner say anything? i would get hondata but no one around here tunes hondata, i have to wait till i go back home, all i have right now is a stock p72gsr computer which is dual butterfly, i need something that will think single butterfly, i dont think you can switch it with hondata so i might as well get a chipped p28 and and re tune the vafc in the mean time. just say if i was to get a stock p28 can you adjust the redline with hondata? do people use hondate with stock ecus?
i burn my own chips, and i wrote my own program to map off my tps sensor insted of my map sensor because i run individual throttle bodies.

no hondata makes the ecu non-stock...
