It'll just be heavier and hold heat a little more.

Why not just find aluminum flanges? I would rather have aluminum charge piping over steel

yeah, just buy an aluminum flange from Viren (b18bturbo)...a lot less hassle than trying to get a steel charge pipe

isn't it that aluminum easily gets hot? will this affect the air traveling in it? will it heat it up?

aluminum changes temperature the quickest, so it would get hot faster.

I just bought a aluminum flange for my charge pipe, but my intercooler piping is still mild coated steel.

Reason why my charge pipe is aluminum is cause I reused my AEM cold air intake as the charge pipe.

steel is stronger than aluminum. for IC the only real difference is weight savings... Aluminum pipe and steel pipe both heat soak.

I have a aluminum charge pipe and I wanna powdercoat it black. Would that hinder performance?

No.

Keep in mind that air is moving through the IC pipes at a very high rate of speed, and also that, due to the properties of moving air next to a heated surface, little heat wil be transferred to the gas. Heat soak and charge temperature are not something for you to spend too much time worrying about.
