With a h23a do u lose or gain horses if you remove the heatshield

 

 

you would gain about 20Hp.. Keep on truck'in

 

If anything, I'd say you lose hp. The heatshield helps keep the engine compartment cooler. When you remove that, it allows more heat to circulate through the engine bay. It wouldn't be a noticeable decrease. Are you planning on having a CC header put on soon?...or did you just want to see how rusty your stock headers were?

i have never heard increasing engine temp increase horse power. for one colder air has more oxygen than hot air and second the hotter the engine the overall less efficiant a car is that is why performance cars have lower temp thermostats ( excuse my spelling)

Read here NooB.. When I signed up at HondaTech, I knew everything I needed to know already. I come prepared.

P.S Their is a little place called a Library, I suggest you gather all your NooBs and have a weekly noob meeting.Read up on Engines, and how they work ect,ect. Hell, you could even be the Leader,the President of the club.
This is not kindergarten HondaTech, where every stupid question is a good question.

I agree with NatakuBlitz…not trying to hate on anyone so I m just gonna post one last time on this topic...I wasn’t trying to go off on anyone on here but it seems like if you don’t have anything useful or helpful to say why say it? why waste your time to post something when it isn’t gonna help anyone?...in the end it was entertaining and kind of funny for us but probably embarrassing for cotton ballz to try to act like he knew something and wasted all of our time to try to make himself look elite just because he had a few post under his name
