Default Cryotuff my 01" B18C7 DC2

I am considering cryongenically freezing my engine internals, or cryotuffing them (although this engine is already bulletproof with forged pistons and nitrited crank/rods)i want to run a turbo setup at low boost (7PSI)and have my engine last many years of hard driving... I know many people do this with the stock internals but reports say that parts gain 3x the strength and impressive power output increases throughout the rev range ..... (before adding the turbo!) there seems to be good reasons: it apparantly gives your engine a lifespan of 3 times the norm, Increases horspower by 15 - 20%!, hardens AND strengthens already the heat treated hardened steels (without altering tolerances) and releases all kinetick energy from the parts themselves..... All for a reasonable price per Kg.. I am wondering weather anyone knows or has experience doing this kinda thing and maybee giving me some advice or information on personal results.. Thanks..

better off just getting some quality aftermarket pieces imo

i dont think it adds horsepower, just reconstruts the bonds in the molecules, making them stronger..

Of all the cryo treatment research I've done...the numbers on cryo-treating brake rotors has suggested it doesn't do much. The engine might be a different story, but consider it's still being super heated and cooled quite often...which I would think should reverse the cryo process to some degree.

Specialty coatings like Swaintech are definately beneficial where possible.

hheheh I am currently working on cryogeneically freeezing marine invertebrates for my thesis..

To freeze your internals its simple.. we use vats of liquid nitrogen at > -136 degrees celcius... procedure, we cool the organism to o degrees, slower cooling rate the better. once the org has reached 0, we cool even slower to -30 then into liquid nitrogen..

Poor little guys. Some of them might wake up to frost-bitten wee wee's.
