This may just be another opinion, but the taller gearing of the LS transmission may not be matched well to the more peaky power curve of an LS/VTEC engine. I say this because, you will gain a lot of high end power, but when you change gears, your RPM level will lower drastically, possibly bogging down the engine, or at least bringing you out of the powerband.

but we shall see some experiences... sounds interesting

Good luck staying in VTEC. For an all motor LSVTEC you would want to go with a VTEC geared tranny.

i have an lsvtec. unfortunately, some jerk hit me the 2nd day i had it back i did have it in the higher rpms once or twice, and i think the taller gears still keep it in the powerband, and thus more time in the powerband before shifting. also, i dont know how related this is to the subject, plus i dont know that much about transmissions. but i have a couple friends with integras that are more knowledgable than i, and the one with a gsr mentioned at one time or another wanting my transmission.

yea if i were you i wouldnt run the ls tranny with an lsvtec setup i cant even beat my friends stock 96 prelude with 85,XXX miles, then when i get to like 98MPH in third and shift to 4th it takes forever to get into VTEC then once it gets to the crossover point it sounds like a damn boat on the water
