Default Built LS or LS/VTEC

as the topic title says LS/VTEC or Built LS? havent found much info on built LS motor wondering what you guys or gals think thanks a lot

ls/vtec....a built ls is strong but any one will tell you over 6k rpm it sounds like its going to explode and the sound will drive ya crazy..........

You could probably do a mild boost turbo on your LS cheaper than a reliable LS/Vtec. I'd go turbo...just my $.02

Depends on what your goals are, what pistons will be in either of the motors and what your definition of "built" is. You asked a generic question so you can only get generic answers.

accualy over 6k rpm it sounds ok........once you hit about 7500rpm it sounds really funky.........

resleeve it to 84mm then you have a B18 on the outside with a B20 on the inside, no one will know except you. Then do CRVTEC!!!!!

My whole goal is to build a motor that i may use for roadracing as well as autocrossing. i currently have the B18b. instead of swaping the motor i was thinking of building on what i have now. as for my meaning of buildup im talking about a total build up, head and block. will the LS withstand the constant change in revs?that is what im trying to figure out
