Other than Type-R and GSR's that get stolen, do GS LS and RS ever get stolen?
I figure theives steal ITR and GSR for the engines and rims...

I have nothing against LS GS, just wondering if those are stolen too for other parts???

The majority of GSR' and Type-R' that are stolen are stolen for there highly desired parts. Engine trans brakes etc. Now a GS RS LS that is highly modded could be stolen for it desirable parts.

 

ahh yes that is what I thought, same for Civics that are highly modded too especially when they got all those combat kits and what not.
So do you think a fully stock LS that looks like its driven by an old lady would get stolen?

You guys saw in the other post that someone just tried to get my GSR. There was an LS that was parked just a little ways from my car that stayed untouched. So I'm guessing they wanted my engine.

 

whoa! what kinda alarm system do you have teken? thats pretty tight but scary...just imagine if you accidentally triggered your alarm. ouchhhheeee

My stock LS was stolen out of my garage for crappy stereo equipment

 

My LS was stolen, but I had GSR leather, a great sterio, and rims. I don't think a totally stock LS would get stolen. Thieves =

 

haha i remember teken's story about the thieves from back in the day....... basically he custom rigged an electrical shock alarm system that really worked....... how do we know it worked? first of all traces of the thieves skin was found, and also blood i think..... but this is the icing on the cake... the theif pissed in his pants after getting shocked because a puddle of urine was found on and near the car........ after that incident word on the street got out and no one has touched his car since.... LOL!!!

Could you get leather on a GS/LS? I have a GSR and I was thinking of putting LS/GS rims on it so it looked less desireable. I ripped off the VTEC sticker of course.

Hey MArkus we are on the same boat.
And yes I beleive you can.. I think its the GS though.
I think the GS you can get spoiler and leather and sunroof.
Whereas LS is just cloth and what-not.. I could be wrong.
But lets not talk about making our GSR's look like an LS too much now.
Or else ALL LS and GS are going to get stolen too!!!

My 99 Civic Si has been stolen twice now!! Neither time was the B16 taken though. Only factory stuff gone were the rims, fog lights, and spoiler. Only mods I had were a stereo and AEM which were also both stolen. They had done a lot a damage and my cars been through plenty of body work because of the thefts. Just letting you know.....

 

Why sorry to hear that. My buddy owns a 1999 Si also just like you. So far so good. Its all stock too....
Did you have wheel locks when they stole your rims? I know you probably get this a lot too but what kinda alarm do you have? Or should I say, what have you done now to prevent other theft attempts?

That shocker system sounds really cool, but at the same time I think thevies being the kind of people that they are would retaliate against the car that hurt them so badly. I mean there's plenty of ways for them to vandalize a car without getting shocked.

Of course this assumes they attempted the theft at a place where your car is regularly parked.

 

actually i don't believe everything that's on the internet, I only believe stuff from reliable sources.... and teken is a reliable source........... you haven't been here on honda-tech long enough to know that though

 

Now I know NEVER to get on Teken's bad side...
