torque converter
i have an auto teg and was thinking about getting a torque converter. I heard it helps shift the car like a manual. But someone had told me it will wear down my transmission. Is this true? And is there any bad things about a torque converter.
Im not sure if htey make aftermarket "stall converters" for imports.. i think your referring to is similar to the domestics taht have lots of hp and an automatic.. i had a 2500 for my chevelle.. it holds off the power a little bit and then BAM at 2500 dumps the rest of it almost at once...
good luck.. havnt seen one for imports yet..

You can get aftermarket torque converters from http://www.levelten.com - you can get them to set a custom stall speed according to your setup (for instance, if your turbo spools at 3k rpm, you can set your stall speed at 3100 so that a second after the turbo spools, the transmission will lock up and maximum power will be transferred to the ground.)
i know this post is old but i have a question. Do you think that adding a torque converter and ecu will make my auto faster than a manual teg or will they run the same?
