I just just surfing the internet today, and came across a few ads for "low mileage type R engine swaps." I was just wondering if there was anyway to tell how many miles are on the engine, besides a compression test. Cause if there wasn't, how do people know if they are really getting a low mileage motor?

 

Unless there is a VIN # with the motor, there is no definate way of telling.

...Even the VIN can't be that accurate...it can only give you an approximate...like when the last time the car it was originally in was inspected or went to emissions.
