Default Can turns off DURING nitrous run!

The scariest thing happened today. I just installed a NX direct port kit on my h22 accord. I was told by some people online to use the 22N/16F jets for an 80hp shot. I was also told by someone at NX to use a 22N/18F @ 10psi for a 75hp shot. The direct port kit does not come with #16 jets, so I used the #18 fuel jets, think that it will run because the stock fuel pressure is at ~42psi, and WOT im guessing a lot more. So quite a bit richer.

So I went to the track, turned on my NX controller, sprayed through 4 gears, then when I let go of the gas after the 1/4 track, the car turns off. Luckily I had enough speed to coast to a safe place. I tried to start the car but it wouldnt start. So I turned the key and gave it gas and it started. Everything seemed fine at that point so I took another run about 45min-1hr later. The same thing happened when I let go of the nitrous....engine dies and starts when i give it gas. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON???? Could the engine die because there is too much fuel? Im waiting for my engine to cool before I check the spark plugs.

My setup:

98 jdm h22a, NX direct port, MSD digi6+ and SS coil, NGK bkr7e, 91 octane gas, and your basic intake, exhaust, pullies, etc.

Where can I buy a good compression tester? What other test should I run on my car? Im really worried.

Man thats ***** to run after your car just dies, i would have called it quits after that. Im not exactly sure what could be causing that, but defiently dont spray again until you know everything is good to go.

The only thing that comes to mind is an off the wall idea. If for some strange reason, the fuel solenoid could be screwing up the flow of fuel to the injectors when you disengage the nitrous and cause the car to starve for fuel.

At the end of the run did you just put your foot on the clutch and let the car coast or did you leave it in gear. If you are running very rich and you let the car come down in revs and its not doing anywork it would be easy for the car to stall.

If thats your problem try shifting to fith and letting the car coast instead of with the clutch in. I would also suggest you make sure you have the right jets and call or email nx tech and see whats up.

Yes I believe I do step on the clutch and go into neutral right after i finish the 1/4 mile. But I dont know if my engine is lean or rich because there seems to be some confusion about my plugs.

I just did a compression test:

First test: from cyl 1-4: 190, 197, 200, 207
Second test: from cyl 1-4: 192, 202, 205, 202

What are the stock numbers for a jdm h22 ranging? Any reason for me to worry?

only thing i can think of for sure is wiring. When i first installed my zex kit i would drive my car to the movies or something, then all of a sudden it wouldn't start. kept blowing 15amp pgm-fi fuses. Found out later that there was wiring shorting out that kept blowing the fuses.

What year is your car? When i had nitrous on my car it would do that same thing when activated. So i took it off and gave it away, so no more problems. Well a couple of months later i put a turbo kit on, and as soon as i started to hit boost it would shut off. Come to find out my fuel pump was on it's last leg, I replaced that with a Wahlbro 255 and no more problems. You might have a bad fuel pump, just my .02

i think you're on the right track. The engine might not be getting enough fuel or enough detonation after the nitrous is off. so in turn......the stalls.

Its a 96 accord with a 98 jdm h22a

I hope thats the reason. Im going to be getting my walbro255 pump up in the next few days and go back to the track on wednesday for test and tune night. I hope and pray that everything goes alright.

Right now im installing the an-r header on my accord........................................pain in the freaking ***. better pay off in the long run. they say that you must give up A/c.....haha...i got it to work! but it hits the freaking subframe on the accord so i have to cut tomorrow.
