Default Analyze my Track times... first time out w/ Boost

Well I guess i could start by saying that i had really bad wheel hop. The first time down the track i missed 2nd twice. the second time down the track i missed 3rd. I have got to be the worst driver ever... Anyway, my times.

1st Run (missed 2nd twice)
R/T .313
60' 2.210
330 6.297
1/8 9.281
MPH 84.49
1000 11.708'
1/4 13.645
MPH 117.72

2nd Run (Missed 3rd once)
R/T .154
60' 2.233
330 6.019
1/8 8.829
MPH 88.21
1000 11.293
1/4 13.252
MPH 116.77

This was on Street tires and Quaife LSD. My car weights ~2400lbs. I was pushing about 400whp.

Corey

Id say with a decent 2.1 or 2.2 60ft on street tires you should see around 12.3-12.8 @ around 120-124mph...

Just curious...whats your setup and boost level...thx

I am hoping for those times. i wonder how much time i could take off my 60' without wheel hop and how much time i could take off for missing gears. I started to feel my wheels hoping to I let off pretty well(stock Axles). I hope that Stan starts selling affordable axles before mine are distroyed. Wheel hop owns me.

whats ur set up?

the trap speeds are closer to a low 300whp/2400lb car but that could be cause u r missing gears and spinning alot.. Traction bars and good tires would help with that wheel hop too.

Nice, but it looks like you need a little more practice.

with a 2.0 60ft i ran 12.2 @ 116 pushing 325Whp in a 2700lb EK on BF goodrich 225/50-15 G-Force Drag Radials(there is no substitute). so your trap is very low for 400whp @ 2400lbs. 2.2 60ft is very good for first day out in a 400hp car.

My times with 5psi ghetto kit on a B18Bin the 1/8:
1.95 60ft and 9.05 at 83 mph
Car was somewhere around 2500, street tires, and on the bump stops w/major camber correction for traction.
Learn how to shift, drive
I bet I completely embarrase myself on my first run when I get my beast up and running...haha

Yea, I definitely need some more practice. I put down 406@18psi on Pump gas. I ran it at 17psi on Race/pump gas. Traction was a problem. I think i am going to lower my tire pressure, it was at 22. I thought it was lower but i checked when i got home and i was wrong. I have heard it should be closer to 12-14. My wheels just kept hoping so i had to let off. I am paranoid to snap an axle.

i am able to pull off consistant 2.0-2.1 running my tires at 11psi.
second gear is the hard part, because your into the gas and trying to shift as fast as possible, so to backoff and feather the gas keeping wheel spin to a minimum takes lots of practice.

I would also get some upgraded motor mounts with a polyurethane center.

Doesnt do jack for cars equiped with a LSD. I have full suspension, full bushings, poly motor mounts and I hop as much as a rabbit.

Radius arms are the ONLY total solution .

noted. I have both (LSD + mounts), but they always existed together. I assumed that the mounts had something to do with no wheel hop since all I do is spin.
