Default wheel weight... would i feel it?

okay... i know i'd feel a great difference going from the stock 15.6 lbs wheels to something smaller... but my question is...

would i feel a difference going from 16 inch cp-035's that weigh 11 lbs to the 15's that weigh a mere 8lbs...

because if i won't feel a difference... then i'm going 16's for appearance purposes...

by the way.... spoons? or winning gold cp-035s?

I have a PY ITR, and I decided to go with the Sp00ns.. yum.. Either rims that you are looking at are lighter than the stock, which is great. I would recommend going with a 16", handling is improved, and they look great!

16's would give me better handling... but would it make my acceleration as good as 15's? after all... it is almost another 3-4 pound difference..

I was having the exact same dilemma but I figurd a drop from 15.6 lbs to 7.5 lbs (15s) is so dramatic that i'll probably have to learn to launch lower and all this other stuff...i'd go w/ 16s...which is what im getting but thats just me

In my personal experience... acceleration is noticeable by a little bit. But, braking is DEFINITELY noticeable. FYI, this was on '96 GS-R w/ 15" stock rim (15lbs?) + michellin vs. 15" SSR typeX (10lbs) + P-zero. I'm sure that P-zero helped me break quicker, but overall, my combo yielded noticeable stops over any super-fast accelerations.

damn.... cuz the 15's are really affordable to me right now... but if i'm not gonna feel a great difference.... then i don't see why i should just buy 17's... to me looks come second...

DONT BUY 17"... Going uphill it feels like you are pulling an extra 100lbs... Get 16s max...

15" Spoons are way awesome. Had them on my car for a while and you REALLY noticed a difference EVERYWHERE. Acceleration, braking and handling.

Awesome. DOn't believe the hype w/ 16s. I'm sure they are awesome but you cant go wrong with 15" Spoons or Evo's

I went w/ 16" spoons...much better than stock, and I wanted the +1 on the rim...either way, the performance is better due to the reduced weight...

I had stock, went to a HEAVY 17", then to the Spoon 16....I have seen em all and was very happy w/ my purchase of the spoons....

how much are 15" spoons? cuz i can get the RH cp-035's in winning gold with tires for 1650... and they're just over 7 pounds...

also... somebody suggested that i just change my tires to nitto555r's and that i'd feel a great difference there....
