It's a little too late to think about stock.....too many mods already

Most of us have this problem already...

The reason I ask is there was a great Mercedes Benz car show in the mall today - there were some very nice cars from 1955 to about 1985. All the owners were very nice - and one theme that kept coming up from everybody I spoke with was that everything in the cars was stock. They took great joy in preserving the factory condition and spent large amounts of money returning these cars to stock and maintaining them.

A far cry from the current import scene... just made me think.

The car is awesome right out of the box! But there is room for SOME improvement. After 4 years, it's time to start playing...

Thanks,

My R will remain stock, except for aftermarket air filter, brake shoes and shock absorbers. I love the car the way it is, and my dream is to be one of those guys with old Mercedes. I would love to have my car 15 years from now in stock condition. I am not doing it to sell or whatever, it just feels good to keep things in stock form. But, I can definitely appreciate the enthusiast who researches aftermarket parts and transforms the car into something different.

Ben your car is totally sweet. I wouldnt **** around with it anymore than Intake /exhaust mods. FI is tempting but not worth the hassles. Trust me. This venom kit has been a total pain in the ****.

I've had my R for about 3 months now, and I've barely put kms on it (~3000km to date). Think I'll keep it stock for now. Personally, I don't think I'll be able to get the most out of any mods I do. The car is amazing out of the box, and I think I'll try to learn to maximize what I've got before I start thinking about mods. Can't wait to take it to the track

If I were to get the RSX R I would keep almost stock...with the only modification being an aftermarket drop in air filter. OK, maybe a full exhaust system exchange (header and cat back)....damn, this is how it started with my current ITR

I'm in G Stock. Nothing that would void the warranty!
