Changing a/c belt ?
I have a 90 crx si
Sorry if this has been talked about before but I couldnt find it in my searching....
What all do I need to do to just change the A/C belt ? I cant find it in my haynes, it refers me to chapter 1 and then chapter one doesnt tell me, unless Im just missing something. Do I have to take the engine mount out ?

when you look at the ac belt you should see 3 pulleys the ac comp the ac ten. and the crank pulley. all you do is loosen the 14 mm ten and then loosen the 12mm bolt on the ten in above the ac com when you loosen the 12mm you should start to see the belt to go down and know you dont have to loosen the motor mount
Are you talking about loosening the actual bolt that holds the ten. pulley in, or the bolt that holds the bracket that the pulley is bolted to ? Cause if its the bolt that the pulley is attached to (left hand side) I dont know how to get a wrench in there, its awefully tight.
You do have to loosen that bolt. Just stick a wrench, and socket down there. You might even have to use a deep socket. It's a bit tight, but it can be done. Then once you loosen that bolt a little, you loosen the adjusting bolt. As you start loosening the adjusting bolt, the belt will start to loose tension. It's very easy to do. I just did it last week.
