ANYONE know... 86mm BORE pistons for B Motor ????????
The block wont last very long if you are running high boost through it at all. I have a N/A 86mm 13.5:1 gsr block with custom Arias pistons. They were ordered through GE, and werent that much more than there standard pistons. I believe there was a 4 week extra wait on them.

why wouldn't you run an 84mm bore and boost alot more than 10psi?

John, this may be a long shot, but race engineering has been able to get me some custom JE pistons. Worth a shot maybe. BTW, I am back in the area so I will have to come by some time.

Most sleeving companies recommend 84.5 to 85mm max actually for a boosted motor, I have 85mm Endyn pistons, in my B16A block they were 9.7:1CR but my heads combustion chamber cc is 41cc, so in a bigger combustion chamber would be lower. I may actually sell these since I got a new Darton sleeved block with some 84mm Pistons, I want to have some room to play with in case I have to rebuild again, so I can got 84.5 then 85mm still, the block I had was maxed at 85mm really for a boosted app. now these are only things I have heard and have been recommended by sleeving manufacturers. Good luck whatever route you go.

Thanks to everyone that posted.
The motor is 85mm already , to cut a long story short , my cylinder head guy left some trash in the head after doing some work to it. Needless to say it went though the motor and scratched up the bores pretty good.
So I either try and put in 85.5mm or 86mm pistons in there or put 85mm potted plants in there. I talked to Ted at GE and he said they have run upto 87mm with there older sleeves with no problems.
Unless anyone wants to sell a B18B or B20 GE block?
