new tranny?

Default new tranny?

hey guys, ive been thinking about getting a new tranny, because my b16a tranny does not pull 3rd gear at all,and it grinds. 1st an 2nd are good, but the rest are ****. im wondering what kind of tranny i should go for? gsr? type r? ive heard 3rd pulls hard in all of those. thanks.

The type r has the shortest gearing while the b16 is a close second, third is the gs-r and 4th would be the ls/rs.
If you swap to a gs-r tranny you will have longer gears. Your best bet is to locate a type-r tranny, I have no experience with hybrid tranny's so i cant help you there

98275, mukilteo area. would that shop in your signature be a good place to check out for a tranny swap? have u ran your car yet?

Yep, they are local to you, they do awesome work. Ask for steve or martin tell then jesse sent you.
I ran it a few weeks ago 13.5 @109mph i need better tires (slicks) the best 60's i could get was 2.3

hey thanks alot, i appreciate the help. those are pretty good times. well to me at least since ive got a basically stock civic. anyways, thanks again for the help.
