Check Engine Light...
Does the check engine light come on if you are low on oil?
My car only has 19500 miles and the check engine light came on and I am getting paranoid right now...
The thing is... even if the light comes on if oil is low... I don't understand how the oil is low... I haven't driven the car hard for a while and the last time I checked about a 1000miles ago... it was right in between the two lines...
Someone please help me out...

AEM CAI is the only thing I have on my car... And the oil level is right below the bottom line...
About the engine check light though... I'm freaking out man... heh...

the oil light should come on if you are low on oil...
I would reset the ECU.... if the light comes on again, read the code to see what's wrong.... if the car is under warranty, just let the dealer worry about it...

ok... I guess I don't have to freak out... the thing is... my car is still under warranty... but the closest acura dealership is 130 miles away... there are honda dealerships though... maybe I can set up something...

first, fill your oil. then reset your ecu and if the check engine light comes on again, you need to find out what's throwing the code.

Why dont you just read the code and figure out what the ECU is trying to tell you and go from there.
Then add a quart of oil.
You drive an Integra, not a rocket. You dont have to be a scientist to correctly operate it.

LOL, there are about 100 things that can cause the CEL to turn on.

Interesting. Mine came on when my wheel fell off on the freeway.

Hahahahahahahaha....sorry to laugh at your misfortune, but that's great timing, it went on just after.....hahhahahahha....what a great warning system.
Check engine light can be caused by something like 300 different things, and although there are only like a hundred codes, many can be one or a combination of things.
Easiest way to figure out the problem, is just stick a paperclip in the jumper and see how many times your CEL blinks, remember, it may read out more than one code, so long blinks are the first number, and short blinks are the second....
ie.. blink.......blink.........blink..blink..blink would be code 23, not sure what that is, but someone already posted a link for all the CEL codes. The jumper is located above your ECU usually in a little green rubber thing, it's the only two prong open connector in that area...if you look, you can't miss it....
Once you check, pull your hazard fuse under the hood, that will reset the ECU without having to pull your battery or unpluging your ecu.
By the way, on a side note, in order for your CEL to come on from low oil level, you'd really need to be low, to the point where your vtec either wouldn't work or would be sputtering....so that's probably not the problem...
Good luck,
