Default h23 vtec..good or bad and why??

wondering if a h23 vtec is good or if i should just stick to a h22???someone told me today not to do it cause its no good??????can someone expand on this?

you can put the h22 head on it and will be faster than a h22 cause more torqe

what about putting H23 internals into an H22A block (Crank, Rods, Pistons, etc)? Will that work?
