help - tranny not commin off

Default help - tranny not commin off

hey guys,

I'm trying to take my tranny of right now to replace the clutch...got everything off and have the tranny supported with a jack and the motor supported by the jack...

the problem...i can't get the tranny separated from the motor!!! never done this before..not sure what to do..any suggestsions how to get em separated?? thanx.

first make sure EVERYTHING is off that holds it on the, take a flat head or something flat and start prying thats what i had to do.

yea, we're pretty sure all the bolts are off...we made sure three times...we tried the screw driver thing..but there aint to gap between them to use a screw driver....is the only thing to do is to just wiggle the hell out of it?? thanx

Yup, make sure u have all the bolts off.
Did you take out the starter bolt? thats a lil. hidden.

After, just carefully pry it out.

Odds are it's the starter bolt. The transmission will let you know when it's 100% unbolted. Don't ream it with a flathead screwdriver: use a rubber mallet if you feel the need to jostle it. Aluminum doesn't take well to gouging.

take off the starter, thats what i forgot to do and couldnt figure it out till i went down and looked at it the next day
