how do I plug in this hose?

how do I plug in this hose?
Well my motor swap is going well. I got the engine in and most of the stuff plugged in. I did run into one problem that I'm having.
In this picture, I'm trying to plug the hose on my hand into the socket where the yellow arrow is pointing. The hose in its original position goes forward, where as the socket goes out to the side. How did you guys do it?
The car is a 95 civic EX coupe and the motor that just went in is a 97 GSR motor.

cant really tell whats going on there. is that the heater control valve? if so, the one going to the side goes to the nipple under the distributor and the straight on goes to the nipple next to the cooling fan switch
