I just want to know how to program a remote on keyless entry. I have a 2000 civic ex. Thanks

 

Okay here it goes. Make sure both doors are closed turn key to the 2nd position (ON) and press either lock or unlock on the remote. Turn the ignition off and repeat the 1st step like 2-3 more times or until you hear the door locks cycle. Once you hear the door locks cycle push the lock button on all the remotes you're trying to program then turn the ignition off. Test to verify the remotes operate but make sure the doors are closed and key isn't in the ignition.

 

The guy above has the right idea. You have to turn the key ON, hit the lock/unlock button, then turn the key OFF a total of 4 times. Then you should hear the locks cycle, letting you know that you have programmed the remotes properly. Also, if you are programming 2 remotes, you have to program both of them at the same time. After going through the sequence with the first remote and after hearing the locks cycle, you would then hit the Lock/Unlock button on the SECOND remote. After that you should once again hear the locks cycle, letting you know that the second remote is programmed.
