Default Radiator questions 94 accord

i recently saw a small crack in my radiator, but low on $ to replace it
so i just used silicone rubber glue to hold for now...
was wondering whats a good radiator to replace the
stock with?? and when i change the radiator, do i need
to change the fans along with it?? or can i keep the stock fans
and just change the radiators itself?? thanks...

THere's nothing wrong with replacing your bad radiator with an OEM one. You should have to replace the fans if they still work. I would however, replace the thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses while you are at it, if the hoses look worn.

I believe in preventative maintenance.

Everything works fine still even with that small crack,
just i know sooner or later its going to start leaking...
so just replacing the radiator + thermo should be fine right?
i think the crack occured from tightning the bolt too tight,
cause its cracking right around the bolt area ___O___ liek a line
that long around the bolt...

http://www.radiator.com. I believe its $110 brand new. I bought from them before. Very fast shipping. A lot cheaper than going to the dealership with the same quailty if not better. No need to replace your fans. Hopefully you know how to replace it yourself. Its not that hard to do and it will save you a lot of money. Good luck.

I replaced mine with one of the OEM units, and it started leaking not long after installation. The second time around, I bought one of the heavy duty radiators from the Accord Store; it's an OEM fit. It works like a champ, no leaks, a noticeable increase in cooling ability, and not anywhere close to the expense of a fluidyne.

Did you buy the OEM unit from the accord store also??
well the reason my radiator is leaking, is because i think
i over tightened the bolt by accident ,
and cracked it where the bolt is at...
so a regular unit is good enough for me,
weathers cold as f&*^ in nyc anyway,
but thanks for the info..

I didn't buy the first one from the Accord Store, but I wish I had, they're great to do business with. They carry the OEM radiator
