Default d series contraption

i have a d15b7 waiting to be built, was trying to go na d series w/o vtec, i was gonna do the b7 block and head with a a6 cam, but i was told today to use a a6 block b7 head and the a6 cam, i was told to use this because it will up the compression, has anyone done this or is anyone agreeing with what i heard,

any help is great would like to know benifits before i start ripping motors apart

thanks

I would also suggest using a y8 head gasket because it is thinne and this up compression a little too.

For one you'd be starting out with a bigger motor.
And you'd have many more internal options with the 1.6,
as built race A6's are fairly common. Rods, pistons, cams,
all are sold based on the A6, not the B7.
From what I've read, the head is the same, but it IS stamped a different number.

I have a B7 with a Si cam, and p28 ECU (defaulting).

My idea would be to use damn near whatever block you want, put in an A6 crank, since it has more oiling capabilities, either GX rods and pistons or use some factory rods with 89 Integra pistons. Slap on a Y8 head and intake with an exospeed cam and you'll be havin fun in no time.
