I'm currently running 15x8 22inch MT's at the track, last year on the same wheel and tire setup I was pulling 1.8 60 fts. Now using hondata 2 step at 4500 r's I build 6-8 lbs and at 5800 r's I build 8-10 lbs from the charger and the best 60 ft I can pull is a 2.19 60 ft. New at using the 2 step, can it actually hurt your 60 ft by launching with to much boost on the line? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated..

Yes it can affect your 60ft you are proably just spinning thats why yur car cant get a good 60ft. Also are you usingthe same slicks are they abused used tremendously or what

 

Just replaced the rubber at the beginning of this season, same brand and size combo. Can't get that awesome rip feeling when it hooks, just spins. Tried feathering gas/clutch but I don't think thats it. Pretty much launching the same as last year with the exception of extra boost.

 

extra boost = lesstraction have you tried to use a stged type of boost say 5psi out of the hole with about high boost later on. also you coudl try to launch with large slick

I can kinda control my boost from the charger w/ my accelerator pedal on the 2 step, don't really have the extra $$ right now for larger slicks right now, do you think 5 psi off the line is about right for my tire size?
