I only tighened them to 70lbs and a couple of the damn things won't move! Unfortunatly I am living in the cave man era and only have hand tools. Would some penatrating oil help?

Step on it? Man it already sounds like I'm going to break a stud or strip a lug. How much can it take - 165lbs of human power?

Perhaps when they were tightened before, the problemsome lug was crossthreaded and hence the difficulty of removing it....

Thanks for the quick responses guys. Seems like the penatrating oil is doing the trick ever so slowly. Just broke loose a few more, only about 4 or five left.

Thanks for all the help. Finally got the last one to break loose this morning. I am worried about this happening again. I am using the black Rays lightweight lugs and TE-37's. Should I grease the stud and lug before I put them back on? Any idea's?

yeah put some anti sieze on the threads before you put them back on..will prevent corrosion as well as getting a more even torque

If you put on any sort of penetrating oil, make damn sure you clean it off!!! Use brake cleaner. I don't like to use anything on the studs. Some people put a LITTLE anti-seize on. Make sure none of it comes into contact with the part of the lugnut that actually touches the wheel.
