Default time to cool? searched to no avail

searched but did not find this question. sorry if i missed it:

just HOW long does a turbo need to run at idle after driving

a. normal conditions, no boost.
b. a couple first and second gear short bursts..
c. a few minutes of pretty hard driving.

i usually wait about a minute. however long it takes for the rad fan to kick on then off. usually the time it takes to take off my stereo faceplate and radar detector.

cool. i'm just paranoid. don't want to coke a new turbo. thanks for the help. i just see that some timers allow up to 9.5mins of time.. i thought that was quite a bit.

hey, are rader decectors illegal in cali??

I run mine 20-30 seconeds after normal driving. After racing 2 minutes or so.. If you have a ball-bearing I would let it idle MUCH longer. they spin forever!

damn. i've been letting it go about 5mins or so.. well, i guess it's better than i left it go too long than not enough!
