Default B16 or B18a/b CRX. Which would you choose?

Its about that time where I need to decide which motor to get and since the motors are roughly going to be the same price, Im having a hard time. I figured I'd get some advice from those of you with with swapped CRXs.

I'd love to say that I could get the B18 and save for a turbo, but I just don't know if I would actually get around to saving the money.

Both motors in a CRX will yield about the same 1/4 mile times, right?
Which motor responds better to bolt ons?
Which is more fun?

B16a is fun to rev But the Ls will kill the b16a through the top of second then the B16a catches up and walks away. The LS trans sucks in third, too long of gear
Ls is a very simple motor and plentiful.
B16a Is more complex and harder to find OEM parts for (not that hard but LS is easier)
Ive had both and they both are ok.
If I had to chose, I would go Vtec cuz it sounds cool.

The B16 and the B18 do not yield the same 1/4 mile times. Stock vs stock in the same car with the same mods, the B16 is faster.
I raced a friend of mine that had a B18 in his Civic HB, and me with a 91 CRX HF with a B16. I rapped him from the start, and never stoped. We have the same bolt on's plus his car is stripped exept for racing seats in the front, and mine is full interior.
I say B16

I currently have a ls vtec 88 dx hatch and I know that even when I just had my basic b18a (93') with a JDM S1 tranny a b16 didnt stand a chance 1st-3rd even on the highway I stayed right beside another ef hatch with a b16 in it until I ran out of gear in fifth. I have now a b16 head on my b18 bottom but sometimes wish I would have just went the ls turbo route. Do what you like best I just know that I really love my setup.
