i'm an idiot. Broke gauge needles!
Okay so I got reverse gauges and before reading up on how to put them on I just went ahead with the install. Know I've broken my gas and temp gauges. I would have slipped them over but there both on one gauge. Anyway I called the dealership to get needles. The guy said i need th whole gauge. Has anyone done this and can anyone let me know if there's anyway to just get new needle assemblies or something. I do kind of need those gauges. Not to mention it's just aggrevating looking at holes where there should be needles.
1st, you shouldntve bought those hideaous overlays,
2nd read directions
3rd, you CAN move the needles to put them on,
4th, unless you can get them at the junk yard, buy the whole new cluster

isn't the temp and gas gauge alone is like 25 bux or so, even if you put needles back in it won't work the same anymore, its going to be tweaking because of that magnet **** in the needle, happen to me b4
I got mine off and on ok 2-3 times... 4th killed the tach and speedo though... I put the tach needle on the speedo and it F'd up the hole...
as far as getting them back on... I just put them on turned it on saw where they were and took them off and put them back on closer to where they should've been.. the gas and temp work fine now.

1st of all i like my new gauges
2nd you can't remove them on late model hondas(with a fork or anything else)
3rd i know if i somehow manage to put them on they'll be messed up
4th i don't see why i can't just buy the needle assembly and install it in the gauge cluster rather than getting a whole new one.
I just need to know if I can get aftermarket needles so that i don't have to raped by the dealership for a whole new gauge cluster

i never said you could remove them. but they can be rotated to get into the slot.
thats cool you like them, but i dont think many people on here do. but you go ahead and be happy with what you have, thats good.
and aftermarket needles? lol. go buy some cool fluorescent Spoon ones and u can then have jdm parts. or get some glow in the dark ones or something else thats cool.

all guage overlays i have put on at the speed shop i work at have come with some sort of instructions...plus theyre not that hard, and i dont know if youve noticed, with all aftermarket parts you must excercise extreme caution.
yeah i know that which is why i said i was an idiot at the beginning of this post, but i definitly don't need someone lecturing me on how to put them on. I've already screwed them up, now i'd just like to fix the problem. I'm not looking for light up needles just what i had before.

where did you buy your gas/temp gauge for around 25 bux? that sh*t cost me $100 from the dealer.
