Default Droppin A New Engine

Hey guys, i was wondering anyone could help me out, i just bought a 94 gs-r that was a theft recovery so it doesnt have a engine or tranny. I was wondering if anyone dropped a h22a prelude engine in and how it worked out. because it seems like it would be the better choice, its about the same price, the torque and horsepower are alot better than the B18C gs-r motor. but i also heard that it would mess up weight ratio and it make very difficult to handle. if anyone could help me out and give me their opinion it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks alot
will

Yes you can do and yes it can be done. I think someone like Place Racing or HASport makes mounts now.

IMO, an H22 isn't worth it unless you are looking for 100% straight line speed.

h22a engine is nice. [H22 engine, ECU-VTEC wiring harness, and tranny.]
about 100lbs more.
slower in corner turns.
whereas, you'll get more torque and hp.

i'd say save and get an itr engine.

everyone cries drivability as soon as they hear h22 in anything other than an accord. I never hear it from the people that auto x their civic with an h22, and there are several on the board. The choice is simple, do you want to give up ac? If that doesn't matter then the h22 is not a bad idea. The b18c5 is a great idea, good luck on the price. If you wanted to spend that much you should have just bought an integra from a dealership instead of a theft recovery. The b18c1 is a great idea since honda came up with it and will be cheaper than the first 2 choices. Either way, good luck.
