gsr engine question
tomorrow i'm looking at a 1998 integra gsr with a stock engine i believe. i'm under the assumption that this model came with the b18c1 engine, but i was curious if there was a place on the engine i could look for this info? i thought i saw pictures of this before but i could be wrong. any info would help, thanks guys and gals.
yea if your just wanting to know if its really a gsr or not, the sticker in the door jam will say gs-r, the block will be stamped b18c1 right next to where tranny bolts up as stated before, but don't be alarmed if its b18c (jdm spec) sometimes when a stock motor blows a shop may replace with the jdm spec motor, this is ok and even better, also the valve cover will say DOHC VTEC

also, you said it was stock so the intake manifold should fold under:

but this only tells you that its a gsr head not gsr bottom block. to make sure its gsr bottom block, look at wunfstgsr's post. should say b18c1(usdm), b18c(jdm).

yeah i'm not concerned about it being gsr or not i have the VIN and carfax says it is...so i trust that. i was just wondering what engine i have in there for project purposes. my hope is a sleeper engine/car i just needed to know what i'm working with.
edit: if anyone can link me to the specs of the b18c1 engine that would be super also, thanks a lot HT.
