ok so when i first turn my car on, it idles at about 1500 RPM's. but when the car warms up a little, amd i put it in neutral after driving it, the idle drops to 100-200 or it stalls. i have to drive with the fan on, because it raises the idle a little bit to stop it from stalling.
anyone have any suggestions? i know i could have a vaccum leak or something.
oh i have a AEM CAI on the car, and i dont have the little hose that goes from (i think its called the breather) to the pipe on the CAI.
Thanks in advance

i had the same exact problem with my intake.. i had to "reset" the ecu, but unplugging it, and then plugging it and letting it sit idle for like 10 mins...
and it actually fixed the problem

After installing my camshaft, my idle was boggy too. There is a screw the controls how much the butterfly is open or closed. It stops that one part on the outside that you see it move when you give it throttle, connected to the throttle cable. You can adjust this screw by moving it up so that the butterfly comes down as stops where you want it to. I pushed it up so that it allows the butterfly to be slightly open, giving it that much more air at idle. Worked for me, give it a shot

how do i check for a vaccum leak?
how do i check for a vaccum leak?
the hose your talkin bout really serves no purpose. its more for emissions so uncirculated air will go through the combustion sequence. well actually it does serve purpose...it vent built preasue in th vc

thank you ive always wondered about that

vaccum leaks can be easy or a streight pain in the ***..... first look for broken or cracked hosses as well as hoses that are not hooked up. did u put all vac lines exactly where they were supposed to go?? just a switch up could cause problems. u may even have a chek valve or something not operating correctly. or it may b on backwords. look for lrgers chek valves, smaller ones shouldnt cause a problem. listen for unnessecery hissing or air leaks. the line from your break booster to your tb is a large preassure line. larger lines hold more preassue which obviously are going to cause a bigger problem when leaking.....hope im makin sense

yeah it makes sense, but i did check my lines a little while ago, and saw no cracked ones, except for that damn breather hose thing was cracked
breather line doesnt make sense but hell, cars are weird now adays. if it aint a vaccum leak it could b in your fuel or ignition..... locating a problem there could really b a pain in the arz, but from what u are tellin me it sounds like a vac leak

now if its steady but gets low, adjust your fast idle.</TD></TR></TABLE>
its not jumpy, say when i get off the highway, i go from 3000 RPM's to neutral, and the RPM's drop all the way to almost stalling, but then they will eventually go back up in a minute, but not drop back down.
