Rear Upper Strut Bar and Rear Lower Tie Bar: Could they get rid of squeaks in the back of the car?
I understand that strut bars and tie bars strengthen the chassis of a vehicle. So by adding a rear tie bar and a rear strut bar, would they eliminate some of the squeaks/cracks I hear every now and then when I go up a driveway from an angle?
Depends - if the squeaking is from the chassis itself flexing, then yes. If it's a squeaky suspension bushing, then it's still gonna squeak.
Try spraying silicone into every bushing you can find, one at a time. When the squeak disapears, then you know which one it was so you can either replace it or lubricate it properly.

or maybe it can be your shocks, my friend replaced his coilovers and stock shocks, with springs and new shocks. the squeeks went away.

So if I want to eliminate chassis flexing, should I get the rear upper, rear lower, or both?
Also, would adding these bars increase the life of my chassis?
