Default Rear strut bar

interested in getting a rear lower strut bar. who makes a decent product and doesn't have a rediculous price. I don't need a name brand. pics would also be helpful.

Whiteline Australia has an awesome 24mm adjustable swaybar/lower tie bar combo with subframe reinforcement brackets, urethane bushings and end links. It's slightly better and much cheaper than similar products here in the states, even with shipping, due to the currency exchange. And it gets here much faster than you'd expect. I got mine and I'm loving it. Australian courtesy and customer service will win you over permanently.

HOLD UP!!! are we talking about sway bars? rear upper strut bars? or rear tie bars?

imo, sway bars...cannot go wrong with either usdm or jdm itr sway with a beaks/ bsq kit. about $80-100 for the bar and $50-70 for the re-inforcement kit.

rear upper strut bar...how much do you want to spend? these bars aren't going to do much for you performance wise. for cheapies, i would go to ebay. for nice decent ones, i would pick a one piece design. such as a benen or carbing. about $150-200.

rear tie bar...same as above.

so how much do the tie bars help? I've heard repeatedly that they don't do much, but no one ever really said why....

skunk2 .

stay away from DC Sports. theirs have been known to bend which defeats the purpose of a strut bar anyways.

imo, these bars doesn't really improve your handling performance. yet, every bit counts. for noticeable upgrades, invest in a "nice" suspension set up. a 22/23mm sway bar (you don't need anything bigger unless you are a hard core road racer, auto-x'er) if you really want to take it a little furhter, urathane bushings for your suspension components.

I'm just curious, why do you say that?

As for the poster, if you're looking for a quality rear strut bar, I'd go with Benen.

I have a 93 del sol si w/ the LCAs w/out the holes for most sway bars... but i could use your set-up right? Is that the Suspension Tchnique rear sway w/ benen tie bar?

the tie bar acts as reinforcement, eliminating the need for a beaks kit right? I know the SRR one does.

EDIT: wait is that the comptech set-up? can't see the engraving w/ the reflection.

Yeah... That's Comptech.

It'll work on your del Sol, assuming you have LCAs with swaybar attachment points.
