Ctr pistons in GSR. No notches on ctr piston.
Ok i noticed in my stock gsr pistons there are little notches that seem to be where the oil squirters go through. The CTR pistons dont have these. Do i need to "make" my own notches or is it not neccesary?
I didnt even think the piston went down far enouhg to get that close to the squirters. I just want to make sure.
Also, My oil squirter was bent about 1/8 inch to the right, can i just bend it back, or will it damage it, or is it ok moved over a little like that? Will it hit the piston or rod where it is? Should i wait until i get the rotating assembly back in and crank it by hand and see if it touches or if it gets close enough to touching it?
Thanks.

My CTR pistons have three on each side where the rings go and two on the bottom of the piston. I read that the type r pistons have the bottom holes for the oil squirters while the other b-series pistons do not. Where are the ones on your gsr pistons? You should put up some pics to show exactly what you are talking about.
Ill try to get some pics up tonight, a friend is borrowing the camera. Ill try to explain what i mean.
at the bottom of the piston where it kinda teardrops down on each side, there is a tiny little notch on one side of the gsr piston. I figured it was to give the under piston oil squirters a little more clearance. I jsut wondered whyt he CTR piston didnt have the little notch.
I think we are referring to 2 different things. Ill get pick up tonight hopefully.
