Default PLEASE HELP....Can't Remove Stock Coil on 96 GSR; Installing MSD Blaster SS Coil; Rotor Retaining Sc

I'm trying to remove the stock coil on my 96 GSR for a MSD Blaster SS but I can't get the distributor rotor off to save my life. According to my Helms manual, there should be a rotor retaining screw at the bottom, I assume under the plastic shield, but I can't locate the screw at all. If anyone has run into this same problem, or could give me any bits of advice, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not 100% on this but I thought there was just a clip inside the rotor that held it on (Because its not going anywhere in the cap except for around). If memory serves me right you just pull... but let me double check with my manual real quick...

Edit : Yup, the manual sucks. Just give it a good tug I would say, don't pull it hard enough to break it though.

Just remove the distributor. It'll be easier for you to remove the ignition coil that way too.

Use a #2 or #3 phillips screwdriver to remove the rotor retaining screw, and an impact driver if necessary.

When you put it back, the distributor key is symmetrically offset. There's no way you can screw up the re-installation.

Reset the ignition timing.

FRIGGIN A!!! Why does Honda have to be so friggin opposite of everything that I already know about Volkswagens? Cant something be the same??

You know what, next time I answer, I'm just goina think about my Volkswagen engine and friggin say the opposite of what it has. Rotors have screws, Inline fours, the coil is in the distributor, its cooled by water... ITS FRIGGIN MAD I TELLZ YA!!
