Default best gains

i have the basic bolt ons i/h/e and i'm looking to address fuel delivery. i am currently considering a high flow fuel pump, injectors, fpr -or- a vafc/safc,(dyno tuned). my question is which of these routes will net the most horsepower gains. i was thinking the safc/vafc would be required before the extra fuel to control it. oh btw i'm trying to build a reliable daily driver running in the 13's.

I don't think you need to mess with your fuel pump or injectors if your going to stay N/A. With the OEM stuff, you need to lean out your fuel to optimize hp w/vafc. Getting a higher flowing fuel pump and larger injectors won't help much.

get a diff ecu ie hondata or a chipped ecu..mugen GSR programs ect work very nicely on the h22..add a vafc, and some cam gears, alot of people overlook cam gears because they think it does nothing on a stock motor, very bad misconception..also what header are you running, if your running a DC get rid of that and switch to the greddy..race cat, test pipe or gutted cat..and a free flowing exhaust like an Apexi n1, tanabe racing medallion ect..if your using a WS exhaust or RSR, theyre not going to let you net your potential out of your setup..they sacrifice airflow for a quieter tonejust those mods alone will get you into the 13 area..or at least close, your also using a USDM motor therefore its going to be a little tougher but can be done, learning to realllly launch your car will help a ton too..if you want to know my full setup by brands just let me know..i think with slicks i could see lower 13s..but im going to buy some BFG GForce radials, in a smaller size..205/45/15 vs the 225/50/15 radials ive used before, my radials werent very good at all they were used, not sticky at all..peace

I'd like to do some fuel delivery stuff. Sound great what you planning. If you get real seriously about it might wanna consider Hondata. (yeah I know that's a simple answer with a lot more specifics involved.)

Edit: STAY away form GSR ECU or any of ECU not programed and designed for you car. You're valve train can't handle 8000 rpm. If you got a specialized valve train designed for 8000 rpm then maybe.

the stock valve train on the h22 can easily handle going to 8k....ive done it for over 2 years..and for the guy asking...heres my set up
97 Prelude AEM CAI, Greddy SS header, apexi N1 exhaust,skunk2 cam gears, vafc, p28 GSR Mugen program, b and M FPR....thats it....im also running a JDM h22 motor, this combination was enough to get me well into the 13s in my prelude, while still retaining full interior..there ya go..later

Is it the Type-S motor? The JDM motor makes more power and is set up slightly different than the USDM motor. IMHO it would help you get into the 13's easier than if you were to have a USDM H22.

So if I went with a p28 GSR Mugen program, would I need Hondata as well?
