Default B18a/b with a b16a crank?

I know this might sound stupid, but I hear that b18a/b rod ratio sucks for a b18a/b_vtec. And I was wondering if a b16a crank/rods/pistons will work in a b18a/b since the ideal rod ratio is what the b16a has.

you can do it but basically you would have built yourself a 1.6 liter non vtec woosy motor with no tq and no top end... it might even be slower than a d series....

try a B16 with an LS crank with LS rods....... still bad rod ratio but will make really good power with some big cams.
