trunk light wont turn off

Default trunk light wont turn off

well i have a 88 civic hatchback dx one day i decided to run my car hard i shifted to second pretty hard, the car jerked and then my radio turned off and then the trunk light turned on..? now my radio doesnt want to work and the trunk light doesnt want to turn off...? it has been like this for about a week now. if any one has had a similiar problem please let me know whats wrong with my damn car

Did you check your fuses? Check the pin switch in the back of your hatch as well and make sure it's not corroded. Also, do you have an alarm, if so is it tied into your trunk wire? Check all the plugs under your dashboard too.

i had the same problem with my hatch light (dont have a stereo, it got stolen) my trunk open light just always was on and then when i clicked it off it shut off, but then it just kinda fixed itself so who knows

this happeend to me also. my car had an alarm that the previous owner installed and the hood switch was wired up to the trunk light. well the hood swich fell off and was touching a ground so that made it think the trunk was open. look for any mystery switches and follow the wires back to the source

now my rear tail lights wont work. i tried replace the fuse but they keep blowing .. i tried checking if there was anything wrong with the wires but everything visually seems fine.. has anyone have the same problem..?

Remove the light bulbs and replace the blown fuse, now check your voltages with a voltmeter. Check to see if any of the wires are "grounding" out or pinched somewhere.
