jdm vtec solenoid help...
im helping a buddy who bought an lsvtec from a guy...basically we are trying to wire the jdm vtec solenoid correctly its a single wire setup. he has a jdm itr ecu and an obd2 head/harness what do we need to do to get this thing to work. thanks guys for your help
ps. i have heard you tap it into the oil pressure sensor wire to make it run. but what about a ground?

well the solenoid is only one wire. thats the way they all are. the oil pressure switch needs to be grounded (you can do this on the solenoid. use one of the pihillips screws that are there to ground it) the other wire ggoes into the ecu. out of the 3 wires for vtec you only needs to add 2. the other is the ground.

i'm going to use a JDM ITR ecu with the jdm solenoid. so i would only need to hook up the solenoid wire with the ground wire and not the oil pressure switch wire? cool just wanted to get that clear up
