tranny hard to shift?
When I bought the car it was like this its like 1st to second is kinda forecfull but not, and some times It wont go into reverse and if I do it might grind a little, but some times it goes into reverse perfect, and yet sometimes I gotta go threw 1st 2nd and 3rd then it will go into reverse, now I want my car to shift real smooth if possible, do I need new bushings or something? its a 90 hb dx, stock shifter, stock tranny... Anybody have any suggestions?

do what the first 2 guys put and then if its better by then when you shift into reverse and its kinda hard to do ....shift into 2nd then go to reverse it should work smoothly, but change the fluid tighten the cable and pull out your boot and look down...see if you see anything rusted or trashy looking and clean it and it also helps to give a little more on the cluthc like ease out farther on the clutch when going into reverse and give it a little more gas when reversing the car..
I had this problem when I did my first zc swap I tryed adjusting the cable and it didn't do a thing so I asked my boss after the weekend and he said "trany fluid" Go under your car and there is a 17mm bolt above your passanger side axle you will see it take that bolt off and add some tranny fluid problem should go away if not then it could be your clutch but then it would most likly be hard in every gear
