Default horn doesnt work =[

so today out of nowhere i try to honk so my friend will get his *** out of the house and into my car.. but it doesnt work.

i check the fuse under the hood. blown. off to napa and i buy a couple 15A as required. when i try to replace with a new fuse, as soon as the terminals touch, sparks fly and the fuse blows. tried this a few times.

you have a short. You need to figure out where.

Try checking your connections to your horn. Maybe something is shorting out causing you to keep blowing your fuse.

my dad had the same problem with his benz suv earlier this week, and it ended up being the wiring from the fusebox to the horn.

We tried replacing the fuse, and the horn, but it was the wiring that needed to be fixed.

Dont know if that helps, but its something you can keep in mind i guess

this really sucks because the brake lights are on the same fuse. i tried pulling out the relay under the steering wheel but the thing wont come out.

anyone know where the actual horn is located?

yeah thats where it was. i just unplugged the connector and hooked up some wires and the horn itself works. does this mean i have a short somewhere? when i press the horn switches on the wheel, i cant make out any clicking noises. maybe the relay? or maybe a loose ground?

FIXED! hopefully..

there are two horns on our cars. one centered in the middle of the radiator and one angled downards over towards the drivers side. i had forgotten to check if the other horn worked as well, and it did. but, just looking at that horn on the drivers side it looked all beat up and shitty.. even though it still worked. all i did was disconnect that connector and plug in the fuse. to my surprise, the fuse didnt blow when i put it in. now everything works i guess only one of the two horns work? i dunno w/e.
