T3 from Le Baron worth the time ?
I used to have a LeBaron GTS turbo or my beater.. It was fun.. Anyways-- I found the car in the junkyard the other day with a bashed up back end.. I just wondered if you guys think it is worth it to strip the turbo off for a ghetto set up on an LS motor..
I believe it is a .48 ar but I could be wrong and it has the .36 Anyone know ? Usually - I would just pull it and check it but the damn Dodge motors have the turbo on the firewall side and its a pain to pull.. Anyone using this turbo for low boost type set ups ?? Jeff

depends on how much money you wanna throw down and how reliable you want it to be....i say no......save yourself the trouble and buy a new turbo
although there are many people on here with successfull junkyard turbo setups

What I found:
CHRYSLER LeBaron 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
CHRYSLER LeBaron 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
So the Turbo is most likely a TE04H. I was contemplating one of these but it was suggested to me that I try and use an Eclipse T25 because of eas of installation. Check around and look for info on the TE04H turbo.

there was a few different turbos offered. Some were mitsus, and some were garrett t-3's with a .42/.48

ehh... i dunno.. that's one tiny little turbo. my girlfriend has an 88 le baron and i get the giggles every time i look at the turbo...
dunno though, there's a chance that you'll spend just as much $ in rebuilding & custom work, then had you bought a prefabricated manifold/turbo....
but dyi is fun too
