Default Lighted switch to control the G3 Integra power antenna. Good MOD!

Was wondering if any other integra owners installed antenna switches. I would like for the antenna to be up only when the radio is being played.

I am considering this project for next weekend. I have already rigged a switch temporarily to the antenna and maintenance wire in my head unit is accessible via the coin tray.

Any suggestions and pics would be appreciated.

I just did my switch Friday. I used a dremel to cut an opening in one of my dummy panels on my armrest. It came out nice

There was a post about this in the ITR forum a long time ago...see if you can find it on the search.

This is definitely a useful mod, I hate that antenna always up. My antenna broke so I dont have to worry about it anymore, but I was planning on putting in a switch as well

do you have an aftermarket headunit? a lot of times, aftermarket headunits will have a seperate wire that will control the antenna so that its only up when the radio is selected. at least, thats how mine works

if you don't listen to the radio at all.. just shave it

otherwise, s2k conversion looks pretty sweet.
