ITR o CTR cams
I was wondering what would be better the ITr cams or the CTR cams. Ive heard that the itr give you better midrange and ctr bettertop end. And do i need to get only the intake cams Ive heard that the exhaust cams gives no power. that its the same as the gsr exhuast cam

The older 98 ITR ex cam was the same as the GSR, but the newer 2k and 2001 cams are different.
The 2k+ ITR in cam is similar to the CTR, but not the exact same. The 2k+ ITR ex cam is idential to the CTR ex cam in every way.
I have them in my GSR, and they do make a diff.

The CTR intake cam has 3deg more duration than the ITR intake cam. If you were to get a set, you may as well get the CTR cams...you can find them for around the same price, just keep your eyes peeled.
when you say 3 degrees more duration, do you mean longer duration at the end of the rev range? like the power lasts all the way to like 8500 Rpm and over?
no, duration means the valve is open longer. Lift and duration are determined by the cams. BTW, CTR intake cams go for $300-$330, and all Stock honda (DOHC VTEC) cams are $250 from A&H. The CTR cam is better. BTW, the '98+ spec ITR use the 'ctr' cam as well. HTH, -C

You can move your power to top end or midrange or wherever you like via cam gears with dyno tuning. I have the CTR's and I like them a lot. Worth the extra $50.

Hey Dave,
I got it form a group buy with a place called Power House Racing in Denver. I got it for $310/shipped. And of course, a week or so after I got mine I saw it for $290 shipped. I found it in the ClubSi.com forum over a year ago. You just have to look all over the place. If you want them let me know and I will try to ask around for you with some local guys. Or ask Buzz on the BAAE list, he just swapped out his '01 R cams for Skunk2's this weekend. Maybe he'll sell them.
