i was boosting 7.2 psi for more than a month now and this morning while driving to work i tried boosting on a short stretch of road and was surprised that my boost gauge needle keeps climbing.

i didn't really floored the gas pedal just and it already shows 9psi. i know that autometer gauge is not very accurate so i looked at my vafc and it registers 0.59bar and that converts to 8.55psi. it just happened today i didn't boost further since the open road is short so right now it creeps to 8.55psi i don't know if it'll still climb further. what could be wrong? could boost creep happen all of a sudden?

car is a SiR using T28 turbo with internal wastegate, vafc hack, greddy mbc.

 

could either be a leak in the hose going to the wg or it's your mbc. take that off and see if it still happens

 

what have u changed on the car since 7.2 lbs to 9 lbs

i didn't do anything that's why i was surprised that this happened suddenly.

i guess i've to try it tonight when i go home from work if it still does it then i'm going to take out the mbc.
