Default for those of you with EGT's after the turbo

I mounted my greddy egt after the turbo, maybe 3 inches away from the flange, and I'm still running on a fairly rich cal. file (aem) and my egt's are very low to what they used to be when I had it stock, especially at highways speeds, the temps are off by around 100 deg's. at times. I'm mainly curious to know if the turbo really does suck alot of heat out of the exhaust gas. I do know I'm still running rich (very rich), but even with my timing being retarded as much as it is (I went with 1 deg. for every lb. of boost) I thought I'd be up there with the temps. Eventually I'll get one of aem's temp sensors to use with the ecu and thread it in the mani, but the greddy's staying where it is. analog gauges aren't accurate anyway

My EGT is after the Turbo, near the bend in the pipe. Normal driving puts the temps around 800ºF. Highway driving @ 80mph puts it around 1000 - 1100ºF. I hope that helps.
